Speculation that their marriage was in trouble began to circulate a few weeks back after some close to the couple reported a big fight over Tom’s decision to stay in the NFL.

Both Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen made their official announcements on Instagram.
In breaking the news to his followers, Brady said that the couple “arrived at this decision [to divorce] amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.”
The couple has two children, Benjamin and Vivian, and Brady emphasized that he and Bündchen “will continue to be the center of our world in every way.” The pair plans to “work together as parents” to “ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.”
Bündchen made her own post on Instagram, that mirrored Brady’s in many ways. The former-supermodel said that she comes away from the divorce with “gratitude for our time together,” and that her “priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart.”
Gisele also mentioned that their thirteen years of marriage, like most, had never been easy but that in more recent years, they had “grown apart.”
Both Brady and Bündchen have asked for privacy as they begin to navigate this new chapter of their lives.
