Tyson recalls 30,000 pounds of chicken nuggets: These are the lot codes with metal pieces
Tyson Foods has issued a recall of almost 30,000 pounds of chicken nuggets due to potential contamination with metal fragments. The following packages are effected.
After receiving complaints about metal pieces being found in Tyson nuggets, the food company has ordered a total of 29,819 pounds of frozen chicken bags to be recalled from the market.
“A minor oral injury has been reported associated with consumption of this product. There are no additional reports of injuries or illnesses from consumption of these products,” the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) reported.
The bags containing contaminated ‘Fun Nuggets’ which are shaped like dinosaurs and weigh 29 ounces, were distributed in Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin. These nuggets were produced on September 5th and may pose a health risk to consumers.

If you live in one of the listed states and bought Tyson’s dinosaur-shaped nuggets in the past month, we advise you to verify the lot codes and expiration date.
According to a statement issued by the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), consumers can identify contaminated packages through the expiration date of September 4, 2024, while the affected lot codes are 2483BRV0207, 2483BRV0208, 2483BRV0209, and 2483BRV0210.
If you have bought Tyson’s Fun Nuggets in the last month, do not consume them as contaminated bags have been removed from the market. It is advised to throw away the bags or return them to the store where they were purchased. FSIS urges everyone to take this seriously and act promptly.
Tyson advised affected customers to contact 1-855-382-3101 and provide lot code, expiration, and production date of the bag.
