On November 5th, the United States will hold its presidential elections. Donald Trump aims to reclaim the White House for a second term, and Kamala Harris endeavors to be the country‘s first woman president. According to the University of Florida’s Election Lab, over 68 million ballots have been cast during the early voting period. Recent trends indicate that while Democrats are more likely to vote early, they only have a narrow lead over Republicans in the states monitored, with 38 percent of early voters identifying as Democratic compared to 36 percent Republican. Many states allow early voting through the weekend, so if you’re interested, be sure to visit your state’s election authority website for more information.

To vote in the presidential election, you need to have previously registered as a voter. According to census data from the 2020 election, one in four eligible Americans were not registered to exercise their right to vote.
