Trump’s interview on The Sean Hannity Show today, Oct. 29: time, how to watch and what will he talk about?
Trump is personally addressing the controversy that has arisen over the racist joke about Puerto Ricans at his Madison Square Garden rally in New York.
The fallout has been swift and wide from Trump’s rally on Sunday night at Madison Square Garden where misogynistic and racist rhetoric was on display from various speakers at the hours’ long event. But the joke by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, referring to Puerto Rico as “a floating island of garbage,” has sent the Trump campaign into damage control mode.
It prompted the Republican presidential candidate to address the issue directly. Trump sat down with friendly Fox News host Sean Hannity to give his side of the story about what he called “an absolute lovefest” on Tuesday, telling supporters that he was his “honor to be involved.”

Trump announced that his interview with Hannity would air at 9pm ET on Tuesday, October 29.
In a short clip of the interview posted online, Trump, unsurprisingly, says that he doesn’t even know who the comedian that made the much-criticized statement about Puerto Rico is. He also went on to say in true Trump fashion that no other president has done more for Puerto Rico.
When Trump was president, his administration held up $20 billion in congressionally approved hurricane relief aid for Puerto Rico.
Vocal criticism over Hinchcliffe calling Puerto Rico “garbage” was not only from the left but also Republicans who fear it may harm their chances at the ballot box with just a week to go before the final votes are tallied. Over 5 million people in the United States identify as Puerto Rican and there are significant populations in key swing states like Pennsylvania where some 500,000 reside.
