Former President Donald Trump will be in Palm Beach, Florida today to cast his vote in the 2024 Presidential Election.

The 78-year-old has maintained an exhaustive campaign schedule in recent months and will make one final push with a number of events planned for Tuesday. Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris made campaign stops in Michigan and Pennsylvania on Monday evening.

Trump is expected to host a number of election night dinners at his private members club, Mar-a-Lago, on Tuesday evening. ABC News reports that friends, club members and donors will be in attendance and, although no formal speech is expected, Trump will likely greet the guests in some manner.

When will Donald Trump speak on Election Day?

Trump team have not yet scheduled a speech, although his campaign will hold an Election Night watch party at the Palm Beach Convention Center. This event will likely be bigger affair than the Mar-a-Lago dinners, with thousands of supporters expected in West Palm Beach.

Traditionally, candidates refrain from giving a major speech until after the election has been called. However in 2020 Trump broke from the orthodoxy by taking to the podium in the West Wing of the White House to forward false claims that the election had been stolen. He made those wild claims to supporters in a late-night address, speaking to reporters at 2:30am.

There are fears that Trump is planning something similar this year, stepping up unproven claims of voter fraud in the build-up to the 2024 election.

In response, the Democrats are reportedly readying a plan to counter any false claims from Trump in the aftermath of Election Day. It’s widely expected that the final result could take days - as was the case in 2020 - due to the narrow margins in key swing states and high number of mail-in ballots.

It looks very unlikely that Trump will give a formal speech on Tuesday but he could be drawn to addressing his supporters early in the hours of Wednesday morning, giving him the opportunity to take control of the narrative while the final count is on-going.
