Update:

A wave of protests have swept across the United States as people make their feelings clear on Elon Musk’s controversial role in government.

The SpaceX owner has, since the Trump campaign took off, played a crucial role in getting the Republican into office, fuelling his party with $238 million and later taking up a role in government as the unelected head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), the newly-created cost-cutting machine.

Across the country, outside various Tesla dealerships, fans have made their opinions heard with signs saying ‘Stop the bro-ligarchy’ and ‘Send Musk to Mars’, taking aim at Trump’s oligarchical moves since coming into office, where he has appointed the aforementioned unelected Musk as a senior member of his team.

‘Gaza is not for sale’

So far Musk has cut 62,000 federal jobs and plans to cut more, with social security payments to America’s most needy on the chopping block. In places such as Colorado, Oregon and New York, people have taken to the streets to deface, set fire to and even shoot up Tesla dealerships.

As well as this, a pro-Palestinian group has vandalised parts of Donald Trump’s Turnberry golf resort in Scotland after the President released a grotesque video, created by AI, that outlined his plans for the middle-eastern region.

The words “Gaza is not for sale” were sprayed across one green and another green looks to have been hit with shovels and spades. Last month, sat alongside Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu, allegedly responsible for the war crimes of starvation as a method of warfare according to the ICC, Donald Trump said that “the US will take over the Gaza Strip and we will do a job with it too”, suggesting that neighbouring countries could take in the Palestinians while the US turned it into a playground for the ultra-rich.

Tesla itself has seen huge downturns in profit after a buyers' backlash. The once eco-progressive Musk has flipped the script and is now the biggest backer to Trump, a climate change denier.

In Germany, Tesla car sales plummeted by 76% in February and in France a number of Teslas were set on fire. Across the globe, plenty of owners are making their remorse clear with bumper stickers saying ‘I bought this before Elon was crazy’.
