Walmart announces agreement with world’s largest hot dog chain and will open restaurants inside these stores by 2025
Good news for hot dog fans as Wienerschnitzel confirm plans to open six restaurant locations inside Walmart stores by fall 2025.
Since its launch in the early 1960s, the Wienerschnitzel chain has achieved significant popularity among hot dog fans with their signature chili-cheese dogs being a particular favourite.
Despite being over 60 years old, the chain has shown adaptability in their marketing and offerings. They’ve updated their brand image, engaged with younger audiences through social media and strategic partnerships (like motorsports), and offer limited-time menu items to keep things fresh while still emphasizing their classic appeal.
Good news for Wienerschnitzel fans
The hot dog chain recently confirmed plans to open six restaurant locations inside Walmart stores by the end of 2025.
These new openings will be situated in six cities across various states: Alamogordo, New Mexico; Bakersfield, California; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Reno, Nevada; Tempe, Arizona; and Puyallup, Washington.
In addition to the Walmart venture, there are 340 Wienerschnitzel franchised locations across 13 states in the United States, with an additional 50 units in various stages of development.
