Warning issued for tornadoes and severe storms in Texas today, May 28: These are the affected areas
The National Weather Service has issued a warning for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in Texas. Here is the list of the areas that could be affected.
Severe weather continues to hit parts of the state of Texas. The residents of the Lone Star State have been hit by strong storms, violent winds and tornadoes that have left thousands of people without power, a problem that could last for days.
For this Tuesday, the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued an alert for severe storms, as well as a tornado watch for some parts of the state, in addition to a flood alert. Water levels have already risen due to heavy rain.

These areas of Texas are under a tornado and flood warning
A Tornado Watch has been issued by the NWS for parts of Texas until 9 p.m. CT. According to the National Weather Service, areas under tornado warning include the following counties:
Bailey, TX; Briscoe, TX; Castro, TX; Childress, TX; Cochran, TX; Cottle, TX; Crosby, TX; Dickens, TX; Floyd, TX; Heron, TX; Hale, TX; Hall, TX; Hockley, TX; Kent, TX; King, TX; Lamb, TX; Lubbock, TX; Lynn, TX; Motley, TX; Parmer, TX; Stonewall, TX; Swisher, TX; Terry, TX and Yoakum, TX.
The watch does not mean that tornadoes will occur, only that they are possible. That means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and it is necessary to pay attention and be alert in case they do occur. When a tornado is imminent, the NWS will issue a Tornado Warning, which is when you would need to seek shelter immediately.
