US News & World Report has released its annual analysis of the best cities to live in the United States (“2024-2025 Best Places to Live”). According to the research, Florida is home to the best city to live in the whole country: Naples.

The city, located between the edge of the Everglades and the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, obtained a score of 7.1, positioning itself as the best city to live in the U.S. To reach this conclusion, the report considered several factors, ranging from the labor market to the quality of life in the region.

“Long known as a preferred retirement spot for the rich, powerful and cold-averse, the greater Naples area supplies pristine beaches, sprawling golf courses, and fine dining and shopping. Closer to the area’s rural interior, meanwhile, cattle graze and seasonal workers pick tomatoes in the fields around Immokalee, a farming community an hour’s drive outside of Naples,” reads the report’s description of the city.

With this year’s rating, Naples managed to go up five positions in the list, since just 12 months ago, the city was ranked as the sixth best place to live in the country. The leap demonstrates improvement in the labor market and quality of life in the area.
