Update:

Saturday night’s Powerball draw delivered its latest set of winning numbers, with hopeful players across the United States checking their tickets after the results were announced.

The historic lottery game, known for its enormous jackpots and long odds, once again stirred excitement as players awaited news of a potential big winner.

The winning numbers for the Feb. 7 Powerball drawing were:

25, 36, 42, 51, 58

Powerball: 6

Power Play: 2

This combination of five main numbers and the red Powerball was drawn late Saturday evening at the official Powerball venue in Tallahassee, Florida. The Power Play multiplier — which can boost non-jackpot prize levels — was set at 2X for this draw.

Heading into the Feb. 7 drawing, the jackpot was estimated at around $102 million, with a cash option of about $46.8 million for a single lump-sum payout.

In Powerball, winners can choose an annuity option, which is paid over 30 annual instalments, gradually increasing each year, or a straight cash option, a one-time payment that is typically much lower than the advertised annuity total but immediately available.

Powerball remains one of America’s most popular lotteries: tickets cost $2 per play, with an optional Power Play add-on for $1. Players pick five numbers from 1 to 69 and a single Powerball from 1 to 26.

However, as of the latest official confirmation, no jackpot winner was reported for the Feb. 7 drawing. That means the top prize will reset to its minimum guaranteed amount for the next scheduled draw, and hopeful players can try again when the lottery picks new numbers.

While the odds of winning the jackpot are about 1 in 292 million, millions of people take a shot each week, driven by the dream of life-changing prize money.
