What are the largest Mega Millions jackpots?
Last week’s incredible $1.35 billion jackpot was the second-highest top prize ever won in a Mega Millions draw. In fact in ranked as the fourth-highest jackpot ever won on a US lottery, also behind a $2.04 billion and a $1.59 billion Powerball drawing.
The Mega Millions record jackpot was in won South Carolina on 23 October 2018, and totaled $1.54 billion. Before last Friday’s billion-dollar windfall, the last Mega Millions jackpot of more than $1 billion was won in Chicago in July 2022 and was worth $1.33 billion.
