Soon after Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris, Donald Trump said he was not a fan of the singer. He now has stronger words for the star.
Right after last week’s presidential debate, Taylor Swift uploaded a post on Instagram saying she was voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Republican candidate Donald Trump immediately responded to the singer’s endorsement.
He said he “was not a Taylor Swift fan,” and added, “she’s a very liberal person, she seems to always endorse a Democrat and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.
Those were relatively mild words from the usually bombastic man, but after a few days of mulling it over, he has come out with much harsher words for the superstar.

How did Donald Trump react after Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris?
The former president has made his feelings for Swift crystal-clear on Truth Social, his social media platform.
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!,” he ranted.
It appears the singer riled Trump after she described Harris as “a steady-handed, gifted leader.”
“I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,” Swift wrote in her post.
How is Trump using Taylor Swift for his campaign?
Even as the former president brushed off the singer’s endorsement of his opponent, his campaign is using her popularity and image to advance Trump’s presidential bid.
The Republican’s camp is selling new Trump t-shirts that are blatantly imitations of posters of Swift’s hugely successful “Eras” tour. The team’s post on X to promote the election merchandise also says “Calling all Swifties for Trump.”

Trump had previously posted fake images on Truth Social showing the singer and her fans falsely endorsing his candidacy.
Swift’s Instagram post cited these fake photos generated by artificial intelligence as a reason for coming out with her endorsement.
“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation,” the singer wrote.
“It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth,” she added, after which she expressed her support for the Harris-Walz ticket.
