Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is the most famous shopping day in the United States. It kicks off the holiday shopping season, which is the busiest period for purchases in the whole year.
Black Friday has become only the first in a series of days offering consumers a chance to do some shopping at greatly discounted prices. It is followed by Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, and more recently, Travel Tuesday.
What is Travel Tuesday?
Travel Tuesday is a relatively new event, launched in 2016 to extend the sales calendar and encourage travel enthusiasts to plan their vacations in advance. This makes it the best day to book flights and find substantial deals on hotels and other holiday packages.
Airlines participating in Travel Tuesday include American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, and United Airlines, to name a few. Discounts can range from 5% to 60%.
What time does Travel Tuesday 2024 start?
Travel Tuesday takes place on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and this year the holiday falls on Dec. 3.
From the early hours of the day (12:00 a.m.), you will be able to find offers on the websites of your favorite airlines, as well as travel agencies and other tourist companies. You can avail of a 30% discount on Expedia.com for select hotels if you make your reservation by Dec. 4, while Booking.com offers prices up to 50% cheaper during this holiday.
