When is National Cheeseburger Day? How to get one at Burger King for $1
National Cheeseburger Day is back and plenty of restaurants are offering deals on, you guessed it, burgers. But it has a catch.
National Cheeseburger Day is celebrated annually on 18 September. This day honours the beloved cheeseburger, which has become a staple of American cuisine since its creation in the 1920s. The most popular story attributes its invention to Lionel Sternberger, who, while working at his father’s sandwich shop in Pasadena, California, added a slice of cheese to a hamburger in 1926, thus giving birth to the cheeseburger
Thus, Burger King will provide a free cheeseburger to members of its Royal Perks program with any purchase of $1 or more. This promotion is part of a week-long celebration, running from 16 to 22 September, featuring various other deals, including free Whopper Jr. and Original Chicken Sandwiches on the days leading up to the main event
