On Tuesday, September 10, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will face off in a debate hosted by ABC News. This is the second presidential debate of this election cycle, but the second of the election cycle. The first took place between Donald Trump and President Joe Biden before he dropped out of the race and endorsed his vice president. Both camps are preparing for next week’s event, with both campaigns bringing in political leaders and experts to help craft answers to the questions they are likely to receive.

There has been much back and forth between the campaigns and the moderators over whether the candidates agreed to the rules and dates set for the debates. After withdrawing in late August, Donald Trump said he would be there. Though the two have known about each other for decades, and Donald Trump donated to Kamala Harris’s campaign when running for Attorney General of California, the two candidates have never formally met.

The campaigns have confirmed no other presidential debates, but plans have been created should the candidates choose to face off again. However, the vice presidential candidates, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for the Democrats and Ohio Senator J.D. Vance for the GOP, have agreed to debate on October 1.

Where is the debate taking place?

The event will begin at 9 p.m. ET and take place in Philadelphia at the National Constitution Center. Two ABC anchors, David Muir and Linsey Davis, will moderate it. The duo also represented ABC amongst the team of moderators that questioned candidates during one of the Democratic debates in 2019.

Where can one watch the debate?

The debate will be broadcast on ABC, and you should identify the corresponding channel number in your area if that’s how you plan to tune in. Additionally, the event will be streamed on YouTube.

We will also be following the event live, so be sure to check back.
