Where is the cheapest beer in the US?
One predictable country dominates the cheapest beer list while the least dear US city can only manage 52nd.
Looking to enjoy a cheap bottle of beer with friends and family? Unfortunately, the US is not the best place for that. The highest-ranking US city, El Paso, only places 52nd on the list, with a bottle of beer costing $1.78 on average.
How was this value found? A new study by Magnet Kitchens, ostensibly to find the best palces in the world for a barbecue, has tons of data on beer prices.
The study identified the largest populated cities in the EU 5, the US, Australia and Canada and then analyzed data from Numbeo to find the most and least expensive cities for a half a litre of beer.
So, which cities can you visit to find the cheapest bottle of beer?

Taranto, Italy has the study’s cheapest beer. costing just $0.86. Taranto was the only Italian city to rank in the top 10, the next-ranking Italian city was Messina, Sicily, which placed in 51st, just ahead of the US.
Wuppertal, Bochum, Bochum-Hordel and Dresden, four German cities, are joined the second-cheapest cities with all charging just $0.93 for a beer. 20 German cities made the top 50 cheapest cities for a bottle of beer.
