Donald Trump’s ex-attorney Michael Cohen has been married to Laura Shusterman for more than 20 years. The two have been involved in several tax scandals.
Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen is the star witness currently testifying in the criminal trial against the former president, involving hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Throughout the scandal, the attorney’s fall from grace, and subsequent time in jail, Cohen has been married to Laura Shusterman. The couple has been married for thirty years.

Who is Laura Shusterman, Michael Cohen’s wife?
Laura Shusterman is of Ukrainian descent, born to Ania and Fima Shusterman. Michael and Laura Cohen have two adult children, daughter Samantha who graduated from University of Pennsylvania, and son Jake, who graduated from University of Miami.
According to Newsweek, Cohen’s wife has been in business with him, running a New York taxicab medallion business in the 1990s, where they ended up owing thousands in unpaid taxes to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Medallions, are licenses or permits issued by local governments that authorize the holder to operate a taxi cab or other for-hire vehicle within a specific geographic area. Since medallions are limited in number, this business was lucrative. However, ride-sharing companies like Uber and Lyft have made them less profitable.
Shusterman’s parents both participated in the couple’s taxi business, and also own property in Trump Tower.
Shusterman’s name mentioned during investigation into Cohen
Cohen has been made to pay for his crimes, but Shusterman has managed to get out legal trouble even if her name came up when her husband was being investigated.
According to The Wall Street Journal, “prosecutors had evidence that also implicated Mr. Cohen’s wife in potential criminal activity, according to people familiar with the matter. His wife was never charged.”
Trump himself mentioned Shusterman on social media at the time that Cohen was being sentenced.

At the height of his legal problems, Cohen said his family has tried to keep a low profile, especially as Trump was president at that time.
He claimed that his wife and daughter were subjected to harassment, insults, and threats when he was making headlines.
