Who is Ron DeSantis considering as running mate for the 2024 presidential election?
As DeSantis challenges former president Donald Trump for the Republican nomination, the question of who his running mate will be remains. Not much has been reported on who the governor wants his second-in-command to be, although entertainment and gossip website Radar Online came out with an exclusive report with the headline stating that Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders was the frontrunner to be his chosen candidate for vice president.
According to the website’s source, DeSantis “only has one strong choice: Sarah,” and that he wants to “lock up his running mate before he makes his formal announcement”.

Who is Sarah Huckabee Sanders?
Sanders served as the White House press secretary under Trump, who reportedly asked for her endorsement for the presidential election: a request which she did not grant, according to the New York Times.
Sanders is the first woman to become Arkansas governor, and is also the youngest governor currently in office at 40 years of age.
The news website Axios had shortlisted Sanders as a “strong fit” to be the former president’s running mate.
