A federal judge in Florida heard arguments from Donald Trump’s legal team that a special master is needed to go through the material seized by the FBI before they are reviewed by agents. Justice Department officials argued in court that a special master was unnecessary because the classified materials were already reviewed for possible claims of attorney client privilege.

No ruling was made by the judge today but one should expected in the near future.

One of the newest faces on Donald Trump’s legal team is Christina Bobb, who, before taking a job with the former president, was a news anchor at One American Network, otherwise known as OAN.

FBI searchers Mar-a-Lago and findings conflict with statements made by Bobb

Since the beginning of the year, the federal government made various attempts to obtain documents taken by Donald Trump to Mar-a-Lago after he left office.

The Trump legal team, including Bobb, told officials that all the documents had been turned over in early June.

Now, after the FBI search the validity of Bobb’s statement is being called into question. These revelations show that either, Bobb was misled and believed she was making an accurate statement earlier this summer, or she willfully obstructed justice by misleading federal officials with her sworn statements.

The United States District Court West Palm Beach, Florida Division released a thirty-six-page document that shed light on their investigation, including that “the government also developed evidence that government records were likely concealed and removed from the Storage Room and that efforts were likely taken to obstruct the government’s investigation.”

The origins of Christina Bobb

Bobb was born in Michigan but moved to Phoenix, Arizona during high school. After graduating to University of Arizona, she attended law school at the California Western School of Law, and later earned a master’s in National Security Law from Georgetown University. After her education, she joined the US Marine Corp and served as an operational law attorney in Afghanistan.

Before entering the Trump universe, Bobb had made her own attempts to enter politics. In 2014 she ran for Congress as an independent in the San Diego area, coming in last with over twenty candidates vying for the top two spots.

Bobb, a staunch Trump supporter, may be out of her depths if the choice by the president to refuse to turn over the documents turns out to lead to criminal charges for the thirty-nine year old lawyer.
