Capcom opens a mysterious website with a countdown

Capcom has launched by surprise a website that anticipates the announcement of a new project. The Japanese company has simply put up a countdown, which takes us to next February 20 (February 21 in Japanese time). The page leaves no apparent clue as to what they are up to.

What time does the countdown end? Don't worry, we've already done the math and we'll tell you:

What time is Capcom's new product unveiled in the U.S.?

  • 1:00 AM EST (February 21)
  • 10:00 PM PST (February 20)

The most recent leaks put the focus on Resident Evil 4 Remake. The title has not been officially confirmed by Capcom, despite the fact that in recent years the Japanese studio has interspersed new installments with revamped versions of the classics. Both the second and third installments received adaptations to modern systems, reimagined versions that go beyond graphical changes, exploring different storylines and feature different gameplay concepts.

The future of the Street Fighter saga is also on the table. This considering that the fifth chapter has already completed its commercial run, so there will be no more content updates for the title. On the other hand, and more importantly, this franchise celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. The final season of the Capcom Pro Tour 2021 will end next weekend, so perhaps the countdown will coincide with the event.

This announcement could be anything from a new Resident Evil: Village update, something related to Monster Hunter, or something else. For now, we'll keep an eye on what Capcom has in store for next week.
