State of Play March 9th, 2022: Every game announced
After a 20-minute presentation focused on some Japanese studios games, these are all the announced titles coming to the PS4 and PS5 during 2022.
Exoprimal
A brand new IP from Capcom was the title that welcomed us. While fans of DinoCrisis were surely excited to see dinosaurs and Capcom, this title takes us to the year 2043, and features a team of special forces facing dinosaurs falling from various vortexes that appear from the sky. So far, there aren't many details. Exoprimal will arrive in 2023 on PS5 and PS4.
Ghostwire Tokyo
One of the upcoming titles coming exclusively to the PS5 gives us a new look with a new trailer. Ghostwire Tokyo will arrive on March 25, 2022.
Strangers of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin
With a very brief teaser, it was announced that Strangers of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will receive throughout the day a new demo prior to its imminent release this Tuesday, March 15.
Forspoken
The recently delayed Forspoken made an appearance, showing a new trailer, presenting its fascinating world and some more gameplay. At the end, we are reminded that the title will now arrive on October 11.
Gundam Evolution
An 8v8 shooter that puts us in one of the most iconic mechas in the industry was presented. The title had already been presented, but now it is announced that it will come to the Western market with all its 3 competitive modes. Gundam Evolution will have network testing in spring 2022
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Cowabunga Collection
The Ninja Turtles are back with a collection of classic titles, from Turtles in Time, The Arcade Game, to the fighting title Tournament Fighters to GameBoy classics like Fall of the Foot Clan. The title is coming to PS4 and PS5 in 2022.
GigaBash
If Kaijus and fighting games are your thing, GigaBash is the game that will mix these two elements. Although it had a 30-second presentation, it was more than enough to show the four-player fights that this title will have, which will arrive in 2022 for PS5 and PS4.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle R
A Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fighting title is announced, showcasing an impressive roster of 50 characters. As you can expect, all the signature style of the franchise is present. The title will arrive in early fall 2022 on Ps4 and PS5.
Trek to Yomi
Previously presented by Devolver Digital, this new trailer shows us again the beautiful aesthetics of a black and white samurai movie. The title will arrive in spring 2022.
Returnal: Ascension
One of the most improtant PS5 titles of 2021, Returnal, will receive a free update on March 22, bringing it to version 3.0. This update will add a co-op campaign, as well as a new survival mode called The Tower of Sisyphus.
The DioField Chronicle
A new strategy title by Square Enix was presented. This tactical RPG mixes classic turn-based strategy gameplay with 3D animations. The title presents the war between the Trovelt-Schoevian Empire and the Rowetale Alliance and how the Kingdom of Alletain is trapped between these nations. The DioField Chronicle will arrive in 2022 for PS4 and PS5.
Valkyrie Elysium
A new action RPG from Square Enix was also presented as a new installment of the Valkyrie Profile series. Although it is unknown how it will connect to the other titles in the series, the trailer showed some gameplay with combat and exploration parts. Valkyrie Elysium will arrive in 2022 for PS4 and PS5.
