Overwatch 2: how to opt-in for the beta
Blizzard will hold the first Overwatch 2 beta at the end of April. Here's how you can sign up for an invitation. For the moment, PC only.
Overwatch 2 confirms the implementation of a private beta for next April. Blizzard will focus for the time being on the PC version within "a selection of regions". We tell you what it includes and how you can opt-in.
How can I enter Overwatch 2 beta?
Go to this link and log in with your Battle.net account. At the bottom, you will find a button pointing to opt-in. Do so and you will be part of the selection once the invitations are distributed. If you are one of the chosen ones, you will receive a message to the email address of your profile on the platform. We need to remind you that registering does not guarantee your participation. They will be distributed by lottery "among a large selection of testers".
Remember that this beta is "the first" of several planned by the studio. In fact, right now they are holding a private Alpha exclusively for Overwatch League professionals, Blizzard employees and guests.

Why launch the Overwatch 2 beta now?
Blizzard refers to these betas as part of the changes they are making to their roadmap. "Overwatch is evolving,” it reads in their blog. “In our first step towards greater communication and a consistent cadence of updates for our community, we're incredibly excited to share information about our plans for the coming months."
Specifically, they note that they are "changing" their "launch strategy" by decoupling PvP from PvE. "[We want to] get new PvP content into your hands sooner, while we continue to work on PvE." Meanwhile, the game does not yet have a release date.
