Spider-Man: No Way Home eliminated a fight between Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe
Jon Watts' film was to include a fight between Maguire's Spider-Man and the Green Goblin, but the scene was eventually removed from the final version.
Spider-Man: No Way Home was to feature a fight between Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man and the Green Goblin, who like Sam Saimi's Peter Parker came to the Marvel Cinematic Universe through the multiverse rift. Jon Watts' team decided to remove this scene in the final footage of the film, but now we have learned that this idea was actually in Sony Pictures' plans.
What could have been another real nostalgia hit for those who enjoyed Spider-Man (2002) almost twenty years ago was finally left out of the montage. However, images have surfaced showing that this confrontation of yesteryear would indeed be part of the film.
The Direct portal has been in charge of advancing this graphic material. The images featuring Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) riding Green Goblin's hovercraft just before Dafoe lands on the other wing and completes the choreography.
Spider-Man: No Way Home reveals all the extras on the Blu-ray and DVD edition
Those planning to get their hands on Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' film on 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Steelbook, standard Blu-ray and DVD this April 12, 2022, will be treated to a host of extras and previously unreleased content. this version of the film we saw in theaters last December will have bonus content, from outtakes to easter eggs, action choreography and a total of seven behind-the-scenes featurettes. All this in addition to the A Meeting of the Spiders, where the three arachnid heroes sit around a round table to talk about Peter, the action and the character's skintight costumes.
In the meantime, and for some reason you were unable to see the most recent Spider-Man movie in theaters, Spider-Man: No Way Home will officially be released digitally on March 15, one week earlier than it was originally planned.
