Pokémon BDSP Arceus Event: how to get Arceus in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?
The 1.3.0 update of the Sinnoh remakes for Nintendo Switch is now available. With this, new features open up and we tell you step by step how to get Arceus.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl have been updated to version 1.3.0 on Nintendo Switch. Players on the hybrid console can now access the long-awaited Arceus event in the game. This is something unheard of in the original Nintendo DS video games because the Azure Flute was never given out remaining hidden in the code of those cartridges. This time it is possible to capture Arceus, but we must meet several requirements that we explain step by step below.
How to get Arceus in Pokémon BDSP?
- First, update your game to version 1.3.0 (you need an Internet connection; you can do this from the console menu by clicking + on the game icon).
- You must have a saved game file of Pokémon Legends Arceus on your Nintendo Switch system and have completed all of the game's Quests. That is, you must have passed the main story.
- You also need to have entered the Hall of Fame (completing the Pokémon League) and obtained the National Pokédex (spotting all the Pokémon in the Sinnoh regional Pokédex) in your Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl game.
- If you complete the above steps, you will receive an Azure Flute in your game of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl.
- Next, go to the entrance to the Spear Pillar, and the Pokémon Spear Pillar, and the unique Pokémon Arceus will appear, but you must have Dialga or Palkia on your team.

What else is new in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl version 1.3.0?
- Added GWS (Global Wonder Station) - Located in Jubilife City, this allows for Wonder Trading over the Internet. A (paid) subscription to Nintendo Switch Online is required to use it.
- Bug fixes: ILCA has fixed issues and applied tweaks that improve the gameplay experience.
How to access the Darkrai event:
- Players can receive the gift Member Card from Friday, April 1 at 06:24 (UTC) to Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 20:28 (UTC). To get it, simply access the Mystery Gift and select the option Receive online
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl are available in physical and digital (eShop) formats for Nintendo Switch.
