Fast!
GTA 5 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, where does it have the shortest loading times?
This video shows on which platform the game loads the fastest. Grand Theft Auto 5 is now available for next generation consoles.
Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5) and Grand Theft Auto Online are already available since last week on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, the new generation machines from Sony and Microsoft. Besides all the technical and visual improvements that have been applied to Los Santos to make it look better than ever on home platforms, one of the other great advantages of the next gen are the SSD memories, capable of pulverizing the loading times of video games thanks to their data reading and writing speeds. In the following video from El Analista de Bits we can see it in detail face to face.
Because if it was already clear to us that GTA 5 for PS5 loads the game three times faster than on PlayStation 4, we now see that Sony's console is clearly the one with the best performance in this regard (minute 2:36), mainly because it has eliminated the intro cinematic.
Loading times to launch GTA 5 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC
Otherwise, El Analista de Bits also rates the PS5 version as the best of the next-gen versions, with "a clear performance advantage" over Xbox Series X|S. The framerate is spotty on Microsoft's platforms at times of higher demand.
GTA 5 for PS5 and Xbox Series now available and with discount
GTA 5 for Xbox Series can be purchased for $19.99 until June 14 (a 50% discount) on Xbox Store with GTA Online included. On PS5 it is also on sale for $9.99 until June 14; a 75% discount. Similarly, it brings GTA Online. It will then cost $39.99 on both platforms with the single player mode and GTA Online - which is sold separately for $9.99 until June 14 (50% off) on Xbox; PS Plus subscribers can download it absolutely free until that date.
GTA 5 will also arrive in physical format for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles next April at a date and price to be announced.
