Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League delayed until spring 2023

Rocksteady has officially confirmed what was already a well-known secret: the upcoming Suicide Squad game is not coming this year.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League delayed until spring 2023

Rumors seemed to indicate that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League would not be released on time this year, and now it has become official. After several leaks, Rocksteady has officially announced that the title starring DC villains will not hit stores until spring 2023. Instead, Warner Bros. Games will publish the new title from its Montreal studio, Gotham Knights. The confirmation came from Sefton Hill, creative director of the video game.

“We've made the difficult decision to delay Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League to Spring 2023,” Hill mentioned on Twitter. “I know a delay is frustrating but that time is going into making the best game we can. I look forward to bringing the chaos to Metropolis together. Thanks for your patience."

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. Rocksteady's last games were Batman: Arkham VR and Batman: Arkham Knight, which at least, for the time being, close this chapter of the Dark Knight's stories. This time, villains Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot and King Shark will do their thing in an open world set in the same Arkham universe.

A calendar with powerful releases in 2022

Warner Bros. Games will release several major games in 2022. April 5th marks the release of the highly anticipated LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, TT Games' most ambitious title to date.

Further down the line, Gotham Knights is another product that is scheduled for release this year. The game from the creators of Batman: Arkham Origins will be released on October 25.

Another of the most anticipated games is Hogwarts Legacy, a game set in the nineteenth century that will allow us to live a new adventure in the magical universe of Harry Potter. If everything goes according to plan, it will arrive at the end of the year.
