Halo Infinite season 2 has a release date: teaser trailer and first details

343 Industries has had a hard time launching Halo Infinite, the ambitious new title in the series. The studio has admitted that they need some time to fix the problems, so they will continue working on everything they have in hand. For now, what's next for the studio is the debut of the second season, which they've dubbed Lone Wolves. The new Battle Pass content will be available starting May 3 for all players.

The developers have confirmed that the free Battle Pass content will enjoy more customization elements, as well as weekly challenges that will be reinforced with better ones. On the other hand, Ultimate Rewards will no longer be wasted on emblems, but on higher-quality items, while bundles with higher-value items will be sold in the in-game store. In addition, the premium battle pass will give players the chance to receive 1,000 CR.

Another improvement will focus on the cinema mode, which will receive updates to polish the general stability and the problems that occur when viewing multiple movies or games. There will also be new modes and maps.

Halo Infinite includes a paid campaign, but the multiplayer mode is free-to-play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. The entire package is part of the Xbox Game Pass catalog, Microsoft's subscription service.

Recently, 343 Industries acknowledged that the game had not met players' expectations: "We're certainly not happy to be unable to meet player and community expectations, it's a difficult situation that's going to take the team time to work through," said Brian Jarrard, head of communications of the developer. The team is fully focused on the second season of the multiplayer.
