Update:
Kingdom Hearts 4 is announced: this is its spectacular first trailer

Kingdom Hearts 4 is a reality: the fourth installment of the saga that combines the Disney and Final Fantasy universes has been announced during the Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary event, held to commemorate the 20-year history of the franchise. So far no details have been released about the launch window, nor the platforms on which it will be released. Below you can enjoy the spectacular announcement trailer.

In the trailer, you can see the stunning look of the game, with a more realistic tone than we are used to seeing in the saga. We can also see how Sora wakes up in the city of Quadratum, a place we already explored in Kingdom Hearts 3. In a matter of seconds, a huge shadow appears on the streets of the city to spread chaos.

More Kingdom Hearts Announced

The trailer not only focuses on the reveal of the expected fourth installment of the saga; it also included the announcements of Kingdom Hearts Union: Dark Road and Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link. The former will arrive next August on Android and iOS devices, while the latter has no release date, also on the same platforms (it will feature a closed beta sometime in 2022).

The saga continues

Kingdom Hearts 3 was the last main installment of the series. On its release, our colleagues in Spain reviewed it, giving it a 9.1. They mentioned that the title has "a fast gameplay, with varied mechanics, worlds with enough things to do to make revisiting them a pleasure and not a mere formality and above all, the fact that they have been able to solve the narrative obstacles of a saga that has been in the spotlight for seventeen years with releases on multiple systems. An outstanding adventure that has come to remind us why Sora, Riku and Kairi... and Donald, Goofy and Mickey Mouse, of course, are the living history of videogames".

Kingdom Hearts 4 has no confirmed release date or platforms at this time.
