Temporary measure
Call of Duty: Warzone disables vehicles on Rebirth Island due to a glitch
Some players were taking advantage of a small bug related to vehicles to get into the golden vaults the easy way.
The Golden Vaults in Call of Duty: Warzone are important locations because they hide high-value items. Accessing them is not easy, but it seems that some players have used a glitch related to vehicles to enter them and take the coveted loot. This suspicion is reinforced by Raven Software's decision to disable vehicles on the Rebirth Island map, as announced by the developer on its official Twitter account.
"We have temporarily disabled vehicles on Rebirth Island while we investigate an issue," they posted on their Twitter account. This is not the first time Raven has taken this measure to combat bugs and dishonest practices.
As for the Golden Vaults, they have been accessible since yesterday to all those who complete the current community challenge and find the items needed to obtain the access code.
The size of Call of Duty: Warzone, a problem
The fact that Call of Duty games take up a lot of hard drive space is a concern shared by Activision Blizzard for years. In a recent statement, Josh Bridge, live operations lead, admitted that "install and reinstall sizes are f**king crazy". That's the main reason why they are not opting to add or rotate maps: they lose players with every major update.
Call of Duty: Warzone is a battle royale game that works under the free-to-play model, that is, free but with microtransactions. It can be downloaded on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC, until Activision Blizzard launches the sequel. The studio responsible for the next experience within the Warzone universe will be Infinity Ward, the same developer that designed the main video game (and whose following seasons passed into Raven's hands).
