Ink ready
Splatoon 3 has a release date and Nintendo celebrates with a new trailer
After Xenoblade Chronicles 3, this new installment of Nintendo's action game will make us fight again against other inkling and octolings, among other rivals.
The Nintendo Switch calendar for the remainder of 2022 is starting to take shape. After the announcement of the early release date for Xenoblade Chronicles 3, it is now the turn of Splatoon 3, which will occupy the slot originally held by the Monolith Soft game. The game will be available on September 9 exclusively for Nintendo Switch, where we can once again arm ourselves with ink weapons to fight against other inkling and octolings.
Splatsville and the surrounding region offer new features, weapons and equipment. Splatoon 3 introduces the Turf War mode, intended for 4 vs. 4 online fights, which will take place both in new scenarios and in already known locations. To use the online features will require players to have a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online.
To celebrate the announcement of the release date, Nintendo has distributed a previously unreleased trailer, which you can see just above these lines. The video allows us to discover one of the exclusive locations of this new release, Eeltail Alley. As if that were not enough, it also gives a glimpse of the stringer, a bow-shaped weapon that players can use to shoot ink horizontally and vertically. There is also a preview of the equipment that we will be able to collect.
Multiplayer, but with a single-player campaign.
Like previous installments, Splatoon 3 will not leave out players who want to enjoy a single-player experience. In the companion mode, users will come into contact with Agent 3 and fight against rebel octarians, all while discovering the mysteries of Alterna and fuzzy ink. Another mode included is Salmon Run, where players will join forces to take down hordes of Salmonid bosses. Nintendo promises that some of them will be huge.
Splatoon 3 is one of the big titles that Nintendo is preparing to release this year. You can check the release calendar here.
