Cobra Kai unveils intense season 5 trailer and its release date on Netflix

Cobra Kai, the popular Netflix series that continues with the new adventures of the Karate Kid saga, released the first trailer of its upcoming season 5. Along with this new trailer that gives us a first glimpse of the upcoming episodes, the season already has a premiere date on the streaming platform. Fans of LaRusso, Lawrence, Kreese and company will be reunited in the dojo earlier than expected on September 9, 2022.

The new adventures of Cobra Kai already have a date

The fifth season of Cobra Kai picks up the plot of the season 4 finale with Terry Silver's plans to expand his franchise of dojos throughout the All Valley, attracting new students who want to be trained in Silver's particular "no mercy" style. Up against it again will be LaRusso, who will have to rely on an old friend, with Kreese in jail and Lawrence on a special mission south of the border.

And if the previous season already left us with the cliffhanger of the return of Chozen (Yuji Okumoto), in season 5 we will see how he helps LaRusso against the threat of the "no mercy ". Yuji Okumoto himself will be the new addition to a cast that includes Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Xolo Maridueña, Courtney Henggeler, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni DeCenzo, Martin Kove, Peyton List, Vanessa Rubio, Thomas Ian Griffith, Griffin Santopietro and Jaden Labady, among others.

Full screen

“Following the shocking results of the All Valley Tournament, Terry Silver is expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his "No Mercy" style of karate the only game in town”, reads the official synopsis. “With Kreese behind bars and Johnny Lawrence setting karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he's caused, Daniel LaRusso must call on an old friend for help.”
