Assassin's Creed will close Eivor's story with a free DLC and will reveal the future of the saga in September
The Assassin's Creed Celebration Stream gives us an epilogue to Eivor's story in Valhalla and the reveal of the saga's future at the end of the year.
The Assassin's Creed Celebration Stream was much shorter than we could have imagined. In just seven minutes, Ubisoft took the opportunity to announce that "the last episode of the story of Eivorse will be released for free at the end of the year". It will be a free DLC for all Valhalla owners that will close the most successful installment of the saga. Even before this epilogue, fans of the game will enjoy a second year of post-release content that will include such interesting things as the newly discovered Assassin's Creed roguelite mode.
The specific date of Eivor's farewell will be revealed in the coming months, perhaps coinciding with the presentation of the future of the saga. Ubisoft has ended the current stream by inviting us to a second Assassin's Creed Celebration Stream that will take place in September and in which "the future of Assassin's Creed will be revealed. We can't wait to show you what we have in store."

Although rumors point to a new minor installment starring Basim, one of the characters of Valhalla, the saga has only one officially confirmed game on the horizon. We are talking about Assassin's Creed Infinity, an ambitious project in the hands of Ubisoft Quebec and Ubisoft Montreal. A product that, more than a game, wants to be "a platform that evolves in an integrated and collaborative way". A release that will seek to be constantly changing and evolving by adding content on a regular basis. For this reason, it has even been speculated that it is a free-to-play Assassin's Creed with all kinds of extras and expansions afterward.
What will be, will be, and we will surely find out during the September event. All speculation aside, Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, has only advanced that it will continue to be an installment with "a lot of narrative elements" and that despite "being a very innovative title, it will have what the rest of the previous Assassin's Creed titles have". Guillemot believes that we should not worry about the changes because in AC Infinity we will find "everything that fans have liked about the series".
