eFootball 2023 celebrates its arrival with the first content of the season
Konami releases eFootball 2023 based on the previous season. New licenses, leagues and new features around the DreamTeam mode arrive to the game.
eFootball 2023 is already among us. The new season of Konami's virtual soccer has already kicked off on the free-to-play basis seen last year. The kickoff includes several new contents that will shape what is to come in the coming months, especially in terms of licenses and possibilities. We tell you all about it below.
What does the first season of eFootball 2023 receive?
After downloading the update you will see news about the teams included. As we said a few weeks ago, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Club America are the three outstanding teams that will debut in full detail in the videogame. In the case of the Mexicans, the license extends to the entire Liga BBVA MX, that is to say, the 18 teams and the images of the competition will be shown just as they are in real life.
All eFootball 2023 partner clubs will be selectable in the test match mode in Authentic Team. A total of 26 clubs will be selectable to play against the CPU for the time being. Matches against other players will hopefully arrive at some point during the rest of the year. In addition, the squads will be updated to the most recent market moves made in these last few weeks; another data update is planned for September. As for gameplay, there are no changes.
When you log in for the first time you will be asked to re-select a new base team for the Dream Team mode. Don't worry: your squad, income and managers from eFootball 2022 are carried over to this eFootball 2023. In fact, new to this season is the possibility of being able to choose a national team. On the other hand, you will also see two new types of card: Epic and Highlight. The first one represents the extraordinary performance of a retired player in a specific season, while the second one improves the progression ceiling that an active player can reach compared to other special versions.
