In a matter of hours, the new season of the popular Pokémon game for mobile devices will begin. Don't miss the first details and the enigmatic trailer

Pokémon GO's Season of Light has a release date: what can we expect?

Niantic has surprised by announcing via Twitter the Season of Light of Pokémon GO, which will begin soon: next Thursday, September 1. "The universe is always ready to show you something new. Grab your flashlight, Trainers—it’s almost time to begin the Season of Light!" says the slogan shared by the developers of the game. The season will run through September, October and November, at least (ending in December, not specified).

The brief teaser trailer below does not confirm anything or show new Pokémon, but the name of the season and the theme that surrounds the video make clear reference to the cosmic. We see a lunar eclipse, space and a silhouette forming in a constellation, although it is difficult to identify whether it is a Pokémon or not. The Moon is also enveloped by a strange structure bordering its outline and the references lead us to think of Pokémon Sun and Moon. We will soon find out for sure.

Pokémon future puts Spain on the map

2022 is a very special year for fans of the Game Freak saga for a simple reason: it will be a year in which we will live a new generation of main installments. Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch on November 18 and one of the main attractions in our country is that the Paldea region is based in Spain.

Another of the great innovations that characterize the new iteration of the saga is the multiplayer mode, more ambitious and protagonist than ever. For its part, terastallizing is not far behind: it is a new transformation method that allows a Pokémon to adopt the type of a completely different one, something that will give a lot of play in the competitive scene due to the thousand and one possibilities it will offer to trainers.
