Pokémon Scarlet & Violet go on a treasure hunt in exciting new trailer

The Pokémon Company promised a new Pokémon Scarlet & Violet trailer for today, September 7 at 9:00 AM ET. The Japanese company has more than delivered and has presented the video, which you can see in this same news. The academy that our protagonist attends proposes a very curious extracurricular activity: going out to look for a great treasure.

In the trailer, we embark on a journey that takes the character to face the most rebellious students, but also to complete challenges and challenges of the gyms. The Herba Mystica are legendary ingredients that we will have to search for, so interacting with Arvén (cooking expert) will be important.

On the other hand, the game will feature a special Nintendo Switch OLED edition, which will be released on November 4 and outlines the silhouettes of the Legendary Pokémon from these editions on the dock:

Grafaiai, a Basque Pokémon?

That the new Pokémon installment takes inspiration from Spain is nothing new, but the Pokémon Grafaiai has a very curious relationship with one of the country's autonomous communities. The forest that appears in the trailer dedicated to Grafaiai corresponds to the Oma forest, located in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. What's more, the very lines of the Pokémon are similar to the drawings that Agustín Ibarrola traced on the trees in the eighties.

In addition to the classic single-player adventure, GameFreak is working on multiplayer elements. Thus, facing real Trainers will be a very tangible possibility. The games will be divided into two types, friendly and competitive. While the first option will allow us to engage in unrestricted team fights, the second will match us with opponents of similar rank.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet introduces the ninth generation of creatures, just a few months after the release of Pokémon Legends Arceus, which served to experiment with certain open-world mechanics. The next main installment will also be exclusive to Nintendo Switch and will be released on November 18.
