State of Play September 2022: everything announced

After a 20-minute presentation focused on PS4, PS5 and PS VR2 games, these are all the titles announced during their September 2022 State of Play.

What a day! The second streaming of the day is over, and PlayStation State of Play has concluded with a lot of announcements related to upcoming games for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PS VR2. Here is everything announced:

Tekken 8

After a brief teaser some days ago, today we had the reveal trailer for Tekken 8. The trailer for Bandai Namco's latest fighting title only mentions PlayStation 5 as the only platform.

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge - Enhanced Edition

The first title shown for PS VR 2 is a Star Wars experience with cameos from characters like R2-D2 and C-3PO.

DEMEO

Originally for Oculus Quest, this tabletop RPG simulator will bring its particular experience to PS VR2, although no date was announced.

Like a Dragon: Ishin

This Yakuza spin-off will be released for the first time outside of Japan. The game will arrive on February 2023 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Hogwarts Legacy

New gameplay from Hogwarts Legacy showed the exclusive PlayStation quest The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop, which turns the game experience to a really spooky one.

Pacific Drive

This post-apocalyptic first-person title is the first game from Ironwood Studios. No more details were given. The game will arrive in 2023.

PlayStation Stars

Some new details were shared about the upcoming PlayStation’s loyalty program. A first look at the first items was given, with the mention that this will be free, with players earning points to digital collectibles. The program will arrive later in September in selected countries of Asia, and some weeks later, in America and Europe.

Syn Duality

Another Bandai Namco title in the State of Play was Syn Duality, a third-person shooter with mechs. While the trailer didn’t show us too much about the story, it revealed its 2023 release window.

Stellar Blade

The game previously known Project EVE finally receive its definitive title, Stellar Blade. The title developed by the Korean studio, Shift Up, will arrive in 2023, exclusive for PlayStation 5.

Rise of the Ronin

From Team Ninja, this open-world samurai game. The trailer showed us an amazing Japan in 1863, during the years that modernization began on the country. The title will arrive in 2024 exclusively for PlayStation 5.

God of War Ragnarok

The State of Play ended with the announcement of a new God of War Ragnarok limited edition DualSense controller alongside a brand new trailer of the game.
