Sonic Frontiers has gone gold
The game’s director has said they listened to players' comments to implement changes.
Gaming’s most famous hedgehog is about to start running to stores around the world. Sonic Frontiers, the newest title in SEGA’s beloved franchise, is probably one of the most ambitious projects for the mascot that we’ve ever seen. Director Morio Koshimoto has confirmed via Twitter that its development has come to a close, and while they haven't implemented every single thing their fans have requested, they did try to do as much as possible until the very end.
“We weren’t able to give feedback on all the opinions we received from everyone,” said Koshimoto in his post.”But we did everything we could until the last minute of the deadline.” The developer made use of the occasion to share his own feelings now that his job is finally complete. According to him, he feels “relieved” but at the same time admits that he’s “a little sad”, since it’s been five years of intense work.
Koshimoto also confirmed that it’s time to “begin a new project.” What could this project be? At the moment, nothing that he’s able to share on social media. We’ll have to wait for SEGA to announce something to find out if it’s Sonic related.
Sonic Frontiers will have a crossover with Monster Hunter
A few days after the game’s launch, the blue blur will come face to face with a few elements of Monster Hunter, Capcom’s hit Action RPG series. SEGA and Capcom announced a collaboration between both franchises starting November 14th. Several cosmetic equipment pieces (Rathalos Armor, Felyne Rathalos Armor, etc.) will be added to Sonic Frontiers, as well as a special mini-game, amongst other surprises.
Sonic Frontiers will release on November 8 for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
