Halloween Terror, Overwatch 2’s event for Halloween 2022, has begun. It marks the first big thematic event for the game since its official launch. In this article we’ll tell you everything you need to know about this Halloween event, including dates, changes and updates, as well as the free rewards you can get.
When does Overwatch 2’s Halloween 2022 event start? When does it end?
The Halloween 2022 event in Overwatch 2 is celebrated from the 25th of October to the 9th of November of this year. The 2022 event presents a new chapter in the Dr. Junkenstein saga with a new coop mission for a limited time: Junkenstein’s Revenge: Wrath of the Bride.
We’ll have to go back to Adlersbrunn with our friends to challenge the Bride of Junkenstein, who wants revenge on the players for having defeated her creator in the past missions.
During this event you’ll be able to complete challenges to obtain special rewards, including cosmetic objects and Battle Pass experience for Season 1.
Werewolf Winston skin for free in Overwatch 2 with Twitch Drops
A Twitch collaboration will allow us to get Winston items for watching the game on the streaming platform during set dates and times. Starting October 25 through November 1 at 11:am PDT, all channels streaming under the Overwatch 2 category will allow you to receive the following rewards:
- For 2 hours watched: Werewolf Winston Spray
- For 4 hours watched: Werewolf Winston Legendary Skin
Remember you’ll need to link your Twitch and Battle.net accounts to be able to get these prizes. The rewards are available in North America, Europe, Latinamerica, Australia and New Zealand, Taiwan, Korea and Southeast Asia.
Free Reaper skin for logging in and much more
Apart from everything we’ve mentioned above, Blizzard has revealed that Overwatch 2 players will get Double XP from the 28th to the 31st of October. Additionally, any player that logs into the game during the event will be granted the Legendary Cursed Captain Reaper skin, as well as the Health Pack weapon charm.
Finally, while the Halloween event remains active, the store will have thematic packs and skins available for purchase.
