Upcoming Pokémon GO events in November 2022: Giovanni, Shadow Mewtwo and Guzzlord
We give you all the information about Greedy Gluttons and the Team GO Rocket Takeover in Pokémon GO, two of the November 2022 events.
Niantic has shared new information about two of the upcoming events available in Pokémon GO in November 2022. In Greedy Gluttons we will face the fearsome Guzzlord, while in Team GO Rocket takeover we will have to fight against Team GO Rocket and Giovanni to save Shadow Mewtwo.
Team GO Rocket takeover event in Pokémon GO: dates and information
We are off to a strong start. From Monday, November 14, 2022 at 12:00 am local time until Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 8:00 pm local time, the Team GO Rocket Takeover event is taking place in Pokémon GO. In it we will have to face Team GO Rocket and its leader, Giovanni, in order to capture a Shadow Mewtwo. We will have to log in to Pokémon GO during this period for this Special Research to be added to our list; once active, it will be available until December 1, 2022 at 10:00 am local time.
During the Team GO Rocket Takeover event, we may have the chance to capture the following Shadow Pokémon after defeating members of Team GO Rocket:
- Shadow Alolan Diglett
- Shadow Onix
- Shadow Natu
- Shadow Wailmer
- Shadow Golett
Team GO Rocket Recruits, Arlo, Cliff, Sierra and Giovanni will be wearing completely different outfits. We will update the respective guides when this event is active. Moreover, during the event, the following Pokémon will hatch from 12K Eggs:
- Larvitar (there is a possibility that it is Shiny)
- Absol (there is a possibility that it is Shiny)
- Skorupi (there is a possibility that it is Shiny)
- Sandile
- Scraggy
- Pawniard (there is a possibility that it is Shiny)
- Vullaby (there is a possibility that it is Shiny)
- Deino (there is a possibility that it is Shiny)
- Pancham
- Skrelp
- Salandit
In addition, while the event remains active, the following two modifiers apply to Pokémon GO:
- Team GO Rocket will be appearing more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons.
- You can use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.
Greedy Gluttons in Pokémon GO: dates and information
Greedy Gluttons is a Pokémon GO event taking place between Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 10:00 am local time through Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 8:00 pm local time. Guzzlord, the Junkivore Pokémon, debuts in Five Star Raids between Tuesday, November 8, 2022 and Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
While this event is active, the first three Eggs we hatch will be able to hatch with half the distance traveled if we use the Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget, available on iOS and Android.
In Greedy Gluttons the following Wild Pokémon will appear more frequently:
- Alolan Rattata (there is a possibility that it is Shiny)
- Golbat
- Swinub (there is a possibility that it is Shiny)
- Pelipper
- Gulpin
- Bidoof (there is a possibility that it is Shiny)
- Bibarel
- Skwovet
- Lickitung (there is a possibility that it is Shiny)
- Snorlax (there is a possibility that it is Shiny)
- Swalot
The following Pokémon will also appear in Raids for the duration of the Greedy Gluttons event:
- One-star raids: Mankey, Swinub, Spoink, Tepig (all these with a a possibility that they are Shiny)
- Three-star raids: Snorlax, Mawile, Swalot, Sharpedo,
- Five-star raids: Guzzlord
- Mega Raids: Mega Gyarados
From the 7km Eggs we will be able to obtain the following Pokémon if we hatch them: Cherubi (can be Shiny), Gible (can be Shiny) and Munchlax (can be Shiny). This is the first time we will be able to get a Munchlax Shiny in Pokémon GO.
By completing Field Research Tasks we can get Exeggcute (can be Shiny), Cherubi (can be Shiny) and Swirlix (can be Shiny).
Last but not least, during Greedy Gluttons there will be a Temporary Research that will allow us to get Golden Razz Berries and Silver Pinap Berries, as well as an encounter with Snorlax.
