On Friday, December 23, 2022, the Winter Holiday Part 2 event begins in Pokémon GO. In this Pokémon GO guide, we share with you all the details, including dates, times and how to participate.

Winter Holiday Part 2 event in Pokémon GO: dates, times, and how to participate

The Pokémon GO Winter Holiday Part 2 event begins on Friday, December 23, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. It is a free event for all players, although there is a paid entry for a Timed Research. The Winter Holiday Part 2 event is part of Season 9: Mythical Wishes. One of the main new features is the debut of Eevee and its evolutions with Holiday Hats. Simply evolve an Eevee wearing a holiday hat to get one of its evolutions with a Holiday Hat. We can also get Beartic wearing a holiday ribbon if we evolve a Cubchoo wearing a holiday ribbon.

For $5 (or the equivalent in our local currency), we will be able to unlock the Timed Research exclusive to the event, which we can receive between December 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. until December 30, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Once received, we will have to complete it before December 31, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Among the rewards of Timed Research, we will be able to obtain the following:

  • Two Incubators
  • One Incense
  • Abomasnow Mega Energy
  • Various event-themed Pokémon encounters

Winter Wonderland in Pokémon GO: all the details on the mini-event

From Saturday, December 24, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, December 25, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time, Pokémon GO is celebrating Winter Wonderland, a mini-event that brings with it the following new features:

  • One extra special trade per day
  • Daily Adventure Incense activated during the event will last for 30 minutes
  • The number of guaranteed Lucky Pokémon a Trainer can receive in a trade has been increased from 10 to 15! And starting now, if you trade a Pokémon that has spent time in a Trainer’s Pokémon storage since 2017, it is guaranteed to become a Lucky Pokémon until the limit is reached! This change is permanent and will stay active going forward.
  • New Collection Challenge that allows you to get XP, an Incense, and an encounter with Galarian Mr. Mime.

Hisuian Avalugg Raid Day in Pokémon GO: date and times

On Saturday, December 24, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time is Hisuian Avalugg Raid Day in Pokémon GO.

This Pokémon will appear more frequently in Raids, we will be able to earn additional daily Raid Passes by spinning Photodiscs from Gyms, and we will have a higher chance of encountering Hisuian Avalugg Shiny.

These are the featured attacks that certain Pokémon we capture during Winter Holiday Part 2 in Pokémon GO will have:

  • Kyurem will learn Glaciate, an Ice-Type attack of 60 power in Trainer Battles and 160 power in Gyms and Raids.

During the Winter Holiday Part 2 event, we will be able to encounter the following Pokémon by completing Field Research Tasks:
