The field of artificial intelligence is increasingly reaching new horizons. Engines like Midjourney replicate successful projects as if they were part of other disciplines. Users want to see their favorite franchises applied to other formulas, and Dark Souls would be no less. What would From Software's hit be like if it had been adapted as an 80's Dark Fantasy film? The result is impressive.
As you can see in the two videos below, mythical characters and scenarios of the video game are being reinterpreted as if it were an 80's movie. Artorias, Solaire, the Hollow soldiers, and even Patches appear with a stunning level of detail. And we repeat, all generated by an AI. It's insane.
"For everyone asking, I used Midjourney to make these in the span of an afternoon, it's kind of wild what sort of concepts can be brought to life with this rapidly improving AI image generation stuff," explains user Otto Von PeePee, creator of the "part two" after being inspired by the original video, which is on its way to registering one million views on YouTube.
