Update:
Stranger Things 5 teases its ending: "the story started with Will, and it’ll end with Will"

In an interview for Forbes, Noah Schnapp, the actor who brings Will Byers to life on Stranger Things, has once again addressed the series finale and offered a new teaser about Season 5. "I think they did a great job with Will's character this season, and beautifully addressed everything they needed to. The way they closed the show is just perfect — the story started with Will, and it’ll end with Will."

When is Stranger Things 5 coming out?

Although it is not much, Schnapp's statements seem to imply that the actor has already had access to the scripts of the last season and that he knows how everything will end. The Duffer brothers started writing the final versions last August and according to David Harbour, the actor plays Jim Jopper in the fiction, the plan is to shoot everything this year so “it’d probably come out mid-2024."

Full screen

After starring in one of the best scenes of Season 4 Volume 2, it was clear that Will Byers was going to take on even more weight in the Stranger Things finale. Schnapp's words are in addition to those of the showrunners, who already announced that he is "going to be a big part and focus, is really all I can say of Season 5, in his journey. We're starting to see his coming of age, really. Setting up us coming full circle back to Season 1. The characters have maybe made steps, but that journey isn't over yet. All of that is going to play a huge role as we try to wrap this thing up next season."

Not to be a prophet of doom and gloom, but we're starting the betting pools about whether Will will survive Stranger Things Season 5. Will Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), who asked for more blood and a Game of Thrones look, finally be listened to?
