PS VR 2 has “blown away” the Oculus founder, hinting at a great future for Sony’s VR

Palmer Luckey, founder of Oculus and pioneer of Virtual Reality, has expressed his surprise after trying PS VR 2, the upcoming VR headset for PS5 that will see the light of day on February 22, 2023 at a recommended price of $549.99 USD. He revealed this through a post on Twitter in which he answered to Shuhei Yoshida, head of PlayStation Indies, and stating that he was “blown away” by the PlayStation VR2, claiming it will have an even brighter future than the first headset made by Sony for the PS4.

PlayStation VR 2 wows the Oculus founder

“I was blown away when I used PSVR 2 recently!” said Luckey in his post. “The first PSVR was arguably the biggest success of the generation, this version will do even better.” These were his words to Shuhei Yoshida after the executive shared a hands-on preview of the new device made by Android Authority.

At the end of the coming month of February we’ll be able to try out all the features this new virtual reality headset has to offer, specially designed for the PlayStation 5. This new device surpasses everything the original PS VR for PS4 had, promising a top of the line VR experience that rivals every other VR device currently available in the market for PC and as standalone devices.

To do this it’ll launch with an amazing launch catalog, with titles such as Horizon: Call of the Mountain, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, and more. There will also be updates of older games, such as Resident Evil 8: Village and the relaunch of Moss and Moss: Book 2.

PlayStation VR 2 will arrive to stores on February 22, 2023 for $549.99
