Dragon Ball Z Kakarot 'next gen' delayed on Xbox X Series and Xbox Series S "due to a technical issue"

Bandai Namco explains that it is temporarily postponing the release of the Xbox Series versions because the bug caused the consoles to crash.

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot 'next gen' delayed on Xbox X Series and Xbox Series S "due to a technical issue"

An unexpected error has been the cause of the next-gen version of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot not being released on the scheduled date for Xbox X Series and Xbox S Series. This has been revealed by the official game account on Twitter, where they have reported that they are already investigating the problem. They also remind that while this is solved, players of these consoles can enjoy the backward-compatible version of Xbox One. On the other hand, the bug does not affect the game on PlayStation 5.

"Due to a technical issue, the update of #DBZK on Xbox series will be delayed until further notice. Our technical teams are investigating the matter," they posted. "The physical version of "DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT" can only be played as a Xbox One game until the Xbox Series X|S version is released on the digital store. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Bandai Namco has determined that the bug "can block" the console.

Bardock's DLC does not change its date, now available

And what about the new Bardock DLC and the second season pass? It “will be available as scheduled," they noted. In addition, preliminary investigations have determined that the save files of the Xbox One version have not been compromised by the glitch.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was released for PS4, Xbox One and PC, and later on Nintendo Switch. Alongside the next-gen version, Bandai Namco has launched the second season pass, which will add three expansions: the first one is Alone Against Fate, the aforementioned story of Bardock.

The next DLC will return to Dragon Ball, but not at the time of Goku child. It is the final arc of the manga, which narrates the battle between the saiyan and Piccolo Jr. in the World Martial Arts Tournament.
