How long does it take to beat Forspoken?

The new intellectual property from the creators of Final Fantasy XV is now available on PS5 and PC, but how long will you be playing it?

How long does it take to beat Forspoken?

A huge open world, an epic and dangerous adventure full of magic. Square Enix’s new production developed by Luminous Productions, who previously made Final Fantasy XV, just released on the market, and many would-be buyers are wondering how much time they’ll have to invest in the title to finish the main story. Given it’s open structure, one would think it’s going to be hours and hours traveling alongside Frey Holland through these fantasy lands. So how much exactly?

How long does it take to beat Forspoken?

It’s almost impossible to give an exact number since it all depends on a wide variety of factors like difficulty, player skill, and the amount of secondary content you partake in. In our case, we finished the game on normal difficulty and took around 15 hours total. We dove into optional quests and talked to people in Cipal, and spent some time doing challenges in the open world, but we didn’t do that until we finished the main story.

The range of time to finish the game is between 15 to 20 hours, but if you’re a completionist that number may rise all the way up to 40 hours. In our review, we highlighted the combat and parkour as some of the best aspects of the game, far above an open world that ended up being not so fun or engaging.

Forspoken tells the story of Frey Holland, a New Yorker girl that suddenly gets transported to a fantasy world named Athia. There she must use new magical powers to fight powerful enemies and face off against the Break’s corruption, which threatens to destroy humanity.

The game is now available on PS5 and PC. This means that the title is only released on new (or current) generation hardware.
