John Wick 4 reveals its mysterious villain: Bill Skarsgard Moves From Horror To Action

The fourth installment of John Wick or John Wick 4, the popular action saga starring Keanu Reeves, is one of the most anticipated films of the year, a new installment that promises to raise the action and visual splendor to heights rarely seen through the streets of Paris, as promised by the different trailers seen so far.

But what about the villain, who is he and who is responsible for bringing him to life on the big screen? Total Film has taken it upon itself to answer all these questions after a conversation with actor Bill Skarsgard, who specializes in horror films and will bring the mysterious Marquis de Gramont to life.

This is what the mysterious villain of John Wick 4 looks like

Actor Bill Skarsgard, known for his disturbing role as the killer clown Pennywise in the It remakes based on Stephen King's novel, and most recently in the acclaimed and terrifying Barbarian, will play the so-called Marquis de Gramont in John Wick 4. He is a young man of unknown origin who has managed to climb the ladder within the High Table and is determined to get rid of John Wick as soon as possible.

"The Marquis is a young man of unknown origin who has quickly climbed the ladder within the High Table doing god knows what," Skarsgard assures. "I always saw him as someone from the gutter that now savors the glittery suits he’s wearing. He functions as the new sheriff set out to rid the world of John Wick once and for all. John’s getting old and tired, the Marquis is offering him a way out. To be the one who finally kills the Baba Yaga would secure his status and power within the High Table," the actor concludes.

John Wick 4 will be released on March 24, 2023, after a long wait since its official announcement, shortly after the release of the third installment, Parabellum. In addition, the John Wick universe will soon be expanded with a spin-off starring Ana de Armas.
