Valentine's Day 2023 Event in Pokémon GO: Dates, Times, and How to Participate

The Valentine's Day 2023 Event will take place in Pokémon GO between Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 10:00 am (local time) and Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 8:00 pm (local time).

This is a free event open to all players, so you don't have to pay to enjoy it. The biggest addition to the event is Mega Gardevoir, which makes its debut as a new Mega Evolution in Pokémon GO. There will also be exclusive apparel and event stickers in the store, as you can see below:

Mega Gardevoir Coming to Pokémon GO with Valentine's Day 2023 Event

Mega Gardevoir is the new Mega Evolution that will be added to Pokémon GO during the Valentine's Day 2023 Event. For the duration of the event, we will be able to encounter this Pokémon in Mega Raids.

In addition, if we are lucky and manage to defeat it, it is possible that when we catch it, it will be shiny.

Gardevoir and Gallade's featured attacks during the Valentine's Day 2023 event in Pokémon GO

Kirlia that we evolve Gardevoir or Gallade for the duration of the Valentine's Day 2023 event in Pokémon GO will learn the Charged Attack Synchronoise.

Synchronoise is a Psychic Type attack and 80 power in both Trainer battles and Gym and Raid battles.

Valentine's Day 2023 Event Bonuses in Pokémon GO

  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for two hours.

Lovely Wishes Timed Research in Pokémon GO

During the Valentine's Day 2023 event in Pokémon GO, Timed Research Lovely Wishes will be available. Trainers will be able to choose different routes to receive different bonuses, such as more XP, more Candy when catching Pokémon, or an increase in the duration of the daily Adventure Incense. This is a free timed research; there is no fee to participate. It will appear in the "Today" section of Research when it is active.

In addition, regardless of the route we choose, we will be able to capture Frillish, which will appear in its two forms and can also be Shiny.

Global Valentine’s Challenge en Pokémon GO

Between Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. PST and Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. PST, there will be a global challenge in Pokémon GO to send gifts to our friends. If we manage to send enough gifts, we will unlock an additional bonus for all players until the end of the event.

Furfrou's Heart Trim will be available again during the Valentine's Day 2023 Event in Pokémon GO

During the Valentine's Day 2023 Event in Pokémon GO, Furfrou's Heart Trim form will be available again. This form is exclusive to Valentine's Day, and you will not be able to obtain this Furfrou any other way in Pokémon GO.

The Furfrou we capture will be in their natural form. To change its Heart Trim, we need to select it in our Pokémon Storage, scroll down and use the Change Form option. By default, the Heart Trim Form is not available unless the annual Valentine's Day event is active in Pokémon GO. Use this opportunity to trim your Furfrou's hair, because you won't be able to do it again until next year.
