We tell you all about the Team GO Rocket takeover in February 2023. The evil Giovanni is back and this time he is accompanied by Shadow Registeel.
The evil Giovanni, leader of Team GO Rocket, returns to Pokémon GO in February 2023. And he is not doing it alone: he is bringing his powerful Shadow Registeel with him. We give you all the keys to this upcoming event, including dates, times, and how to participate. Here we go:
February 2023 Team GO Rocket Takeover Event: Dates, Times, and How to Participate
The February 2023 Team GO Rocket Takeover Event in Pokémon GO will take place from Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 12:00 a.m. until Sunday, February 5, at 23:59 p.m. local time.
The main character of the event is, of course, Giovanni himself, who comes with an updated Shadow Pokémon team led by Shadow Registeel, which we can capture and purify (or not) if we defeat Giovanni. Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra's teams are also expected to be updated in this event (we'll update their guides accordingly).
The new special research is also available until March 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. local time. If we manage to advance in it, we will receive a Super Rocket Radar to meet and face Giovanni. There will also be a Field Research Task that will reward us with a Mysterious Component to assemble a Rocket Radar.
