Are points awarded for houses in Hogwarts Legacy, and where are the hourglasses located?
If you've already chosen a house in the open-world action RPG based on the Harry Potter universe, you're anxious to get started, aren't you?
If you've enjoyed the Harry Potter books or movies, you'll be familiar with House Points at Hogwarts. It's a competition in which students from each house (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin) earn points for their exploits and accomplishments, which are reflected in a giant hourglass representing each house. But do you know if you can get them in Hogwarts Legacy?
Are there House Points in Hogwarts Legacy?
Of course, you do! As we progress through the game by completing quests, finding treasure, and defeating enemies, we earn House Points. But the most important thing is to go to class and make the right choices. Doing so contributes to our house meter, just like our classmates.
However, in Hogwarts Legacy there is no way to check the amount of points you have earned by accessing the menus; instead, you have to take a look at the Hogwarts Hourglasses. There are 4 of them, one for each house, and they are all together in the castle itself. You can easily locate them between the Reception and the Great Hall, where we saw the Sorting Hat scene.
"Win the House Cup" Achievement in Hogwarts Legacy
To avoid confusion, we have included this trophy in this article, even though it has nothing to do with House Points or Hourglasses. The description of the trophy might make you think that it is related to both, but it is not, as it is an optional mission that is only unlocked once you complete the story (you need to be level 34 to complete it). Once you complete it, you will receive the trophy/achievement in question.
