The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Art Book has been leaked

A few months before its official release, the art book that comes with the collectors edition of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has leaked completely on the internet, flooding social media, forums and other websites with potential spoilers for the upcoming Nintendo title.

Posted on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit during this past weekend (and quickly taken down by Nintendo, we assume), every single page of the 204 page artbook was revealed for everyone to see. This means that for a few days, fans around the world were exposed to concept art that details hundreds of different things we will presumably be able to find in the world of the Zelda sequel. The pages that leaked belong to the Japanese version of the book, which means that whatever little text was included won’t be of much use to those who don’t speak the language, but it’s still pretty revealing.

While we won’t be sharing any of the leaked images in this article (you can easily find them online if you search for them, anyway), there’s a lot of content to be found in this leak. This means that, to many, these could be considered heavy spoilers for the as-yet-to-be-released Tears of the Kingdom, and you should proceed with caution if you want to have a completely fresh experience once the game comes out.

What was leaked in the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom art book?

While there’s not a lot of text in the images that were shared over the weekend, every page of the artbook is packed full of art that depicts Link and a wide variety of costumes, NPCs that can be found throughout Hyrule, sketches of new faces to meet and enemy designs that are sure to give you a taste of what to expect when you get the game in your hands on May 12.

Curoiously, some fans have been taken completely by the fact that there’s an entire page dedicated to cheese: dubbed “Hateno Cheese”, implying it’s a local produce of one of the previous game’s earliest towns you can visit, fans are delighted by the choice of focusing on so many details of a seemingly innocuous food item. Who knows, it might be that this is actually some legendary item that grants the player some great power.
